Trip of a Lifetime

So...Coulton Main and I got married, and what an amazing and dreamy wedding it was. I wish I could post pictures from that unbelievable day, but I have not yet received the pictures from my photographer yet...so...I will share with you our honeymoon extravaganza :)

As Coulton and I were trying to decide what we wanted to do for our honeymoon, and how we could work around Coulton's work schedule and school schedule, we came upon this plan. ROADTRIP!!! At first, I was a little hesitant at the thought of being in a truck for a week straight, but then as I thought about it more, I was totally onboard with the idea. We would travel across country and visit some really cool places along the way. And who better to do it with than your best friend/eternal companion?

So here we are, the Mains, traveling across the United States to our home in Florida. We packed up all our/my things in a 16' moving truck and hit the road!!

Day one!! Just got our camera and stoked to start on our adventure!

First day we went to Vegas simply because Coult has never been. All we did was walk the strip and eat haha.

Nevada is ugly, but Boulder City was a cute little town. We stopped at this Native American shop. It was neat. We didn't buy anything. Got back in the truck! :)

Took a helicopter ride over the Hoover Dam. That was so much fun! Highlight of the trip for sure!

This, my friends, is the Grand Canyon. I was blown away at how Beautiful it was! It was truly breathtaking. We said we wanted to go back and camp sometime. Who wants to come?!

All the pictures in New Mexico are desert and flatness. New Mexico sucks, but hey, we drove through it! ...so boring...

Thought the truck was going to blow over as we were passing through the corner of texas. IT WAS SO WINDY!

Would never want to live in the state of Kansas. The weather progressively got worse and I was sincerely scared for my life in our truck, but we beat the snow storm literally by hours. Made it to Missouri safely...thank goodness.

Here we are at the Mississippi River. Amazing to think the pioneers had to cross this. Freakin huge.

Coulton could not get enough of Nauvoo. He loved the history of the church there and learning about all the things the Saints did to spread the Gospel and build a city from the ground up. Coulton is amazing. We both want to go back to Nauvoo when the weather is warm and dry :)

We headed over to Carthage jail to see where Joseph Smith was last before he died. Pretty cool to be able to experience all of this with a new member of the church. Coulton's testimony shines as he learns more. He's amazing.

I LOVED TENNESSEE! Probably one of the prettiest places I've been. I could totally live here. The small quaint towns, the hills and valleys, waterfalls, so cool!!

Back in Florida and what better place to end on than Busch Gardens!? So much fun riding rollercoasters with this genius. We'll do it again for sure :)

All in all, I would say our roadtrip was a success. I hope we will be able to come back the same way sometime in the near future!! ;)

-love
